What Should You Bring?
- Polarized sunglasses - Polarized lenses help you see into the water
better than normal sunglasses. All the better to see the fish!
- Sunscreen and a hat - To help keep the sun off of you and prevent
sunburn. Remember, even on hazy days the sun's rays still
find you. Other clothing such as long pants or shirts can be brought along
too, if you are especially sensitive to the sun.
- Lunch and drinks - You need to provide your own food and refreshments.
Fighting those fish can work up a thirst and appetite!
- Texas fishing license - A license, with a saltwater stamp is
required, if you are between the ages of 17 and 65.
Licenses are sold by Texas
Parks and Wildlife through local convenience and tackle stores or directly
from Texas Parks and Wildlife.
- Camera and film! - You will want to preserve the
moment when you catch that big one!
